About
myblacksheep.org is the place to go – or it will be soon – if you're interested in my music. Why should you be?
Anyway, there I was, with my big clunky piano and fourteen years of lessons in my head and fingers, wanting more. After failed experiments playing in a band (with a singer who wouldn't sing and other peculiarities) I dared enter this strange and unfamiliar world again in 2005 and have been with zero|five ever since.
Having bought all the equipment that being in a band entails, I figured I might as well do something with it while waiting for the next meeting with the band. I had written a couple of songs already, some of which had ended up in the band, some of which hadn't, for various reasons. That was when myblacksheep was born.
I'll try to not only put some songs up here that you might listen to but also write a little about the process that got them done in the first place, which technical quirks I encountered and how I worked around (or ignored) them. I like music and so should you.
Thanks for listening.
History
I started making music in the nineties when life was good, grass was green and the piano seemed the way to go. Had I known that it's the guitar players who get all the props for being able to sit around a fireplace showing off the three chords they know, I might have chosen differently.Anyway, there I was, with my big clunky piano and fourteen years of lessons in my head and fingers, wanting more. Mission
Everybody's got to have a mission statement nowadays, something that defines their motives, their hopes and aspirations. The only thing being even remotely close to a mission statement I have is: I like listening to, making and sharing music! Hence this site.I'll try to not only put some songs up here that you might listen to but also write a little about the process that got them done in the first place, which technical quirks I encountered and how I worked around (or ignored) them. Future
So, back to the basic question: Why should you care? I have no idea. If you do, let me know. All this isn't particularly professional nor extraordinary but it's real. It's what I do. And perhaps that's enough for you. Thanks for listening.
